Applying the methodology set out in Deliverable D1.7, this METASKILLS4TCLF report examines skills in Europe’s textile, clothing, leather and footwear sectors in 2026. An online survey and partner-validated SWOT analysis assess the factors shaping skills, gaps between current competences and business needs, and changes since the 2024 baseline.

Drawing on surveys and focus groups in seven European countries, AEQUALIS4TCLF Deliverable 3.2 identifies digital, sustainability and transversal skills gaps across the textile, clothing, leather and footwear sectors. It highlights the mismatch between education and industry needs and recommends updated curricula, stronger collaboration and measures to attract young talent.

This booklet presents the syllabuses of three Skills4Circularity masterclasses: Recycling Technology, Eco-design for the Circular Economy, and Sustainable Manufacturing. It outlines twelve three-hour live online lessons, their learning activities and assessment-based micro-credentials. Delivered to European textile professionals in 2026, the training will later be integrated into an open-access MOOC.
