Building on Deliverable D1.7 Annual Report on Skills Intelligence for 2026, which established the methodology for updating and reviewing the findings of the Work Package 3 Final Report, this document presents the results of the implementation of this methodology for the year 2026.
The report focuses on identifying the most relevant factors across EU countries that directly and indirectly influence skills in the Textile, Clothing, Leather and Footwear (TCLF) sectors.
Particular emphasis is placed on monitoring the current state of skills and analysing the gap between existing competences and business needs. In this context, the document presents the results of a targeted online survey conducted for this purpose, as well as an updated SWOT analysis validated by the METASKILLS4TCLF partners. As a reminder, the methodology defined for the intermediate years of the project (2025 and 2026) includes the following steps:
Intermediate years (2025 and 2026)
- Online survey: An online survey conducted via Microsoft Forms, targeting a minimum number of responses per country. Project partners are responsible for distributing the survey among relevant stakeholders in order to assess changes or continuity in the issues identified in April 2024, as outlined in the WP3 Final Report submitted that same year.
- SWOT revalidation process: The SWOT analysis is updated using the summarised drivers of change and the results of the last SWOT analysis as a baseline. Partners carry out this process either internally or with external stakeholders, documenting any changes using the template provided for this purpose.
